From Northeast Transit Wiki
The Green Line B Branch (often shorted to the B branch, Comm ave line, or BC line) is a branch of the green line running from downtown Boston, MA to the Lake Street loop (near Boston College's Newton Campus).
The route runs underground (in cut-and-cover tunel) between Government Center and Kenmore, surfacing just east of Blandford St. Trains then run in an at grade median to Boston College.
